ON MY WISHLIST

Hello fellow fashionistas!  Just a quick question...have you all ever felt like you don't want anything you can afford and cannot afford anything you really want??  That experience leads to today's blog post.  I am going to share with you some things I am loving but realistically cannot buy unless I either find out of an unexpected trust fund and  inheritance or Anthopologie, West Elm, JCrew and Nordstroms offer me a 95% coupon good for the rest of my life. 

Ah...Tory......I so love your pebbled leather handbags (I not even going to show a Chanel...why break all of our poor little hearts?)

 Love Nordstrom's cologne department, so fun to spritz myself with all of the fabulous scents, Narcisco, Tory Burch, Chanel Mademoiselle,  I want them ALL.....

You may be thinking at this point that all I ever think about is clothes and makeup, etc etc...well you would be wrong, sometimes I give serious thought to lounging in the sun on a chaise with a cold glass of my favorite prosecco in a pretty glass:

FRIDAY FANCIES

Hello.  Just returned from a few days in Chicago and thought you might enjoy some of my Chicago Fancies:

I love the North Avenue Corridor.  Within a 2 block area one can stroll through Anthropologie, William-Sonoma, West Elm, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, JCrew,  World Market and a brand new Nordstrom Rack.

I love the tours offered by the Chicago Architecture Foundation:

After extensive taste tastes I can honestly say Sprinkles cupcakes are the VERY BEST:

My favorite pizza (next to Roccos of course which is located in South Bend, IN) is Piece Pizza:

I always try to visit at one new restaurant each time I am in the city.  Recent discoveries include 90 Miles Cuban Cafe in Logan Square and Farmhouse Chicago:

I saved  the  best and my FAVORITE part of any Chicago visit till the end ;  time with my son and daughter in law who are and always will be my heart!

SO...WHAT DID I BUY?????????

I recently shared with all of you my discovery that Nordstroms has personal shoppers in their makeup department.  It was a lovely experience, I purchased several products and promised to share my reviews after several week of using these new makeup items.  In the reviews below I rated each product on a 1-5 scale along with a few comments.

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance- 4- Will absolutely purchase again.  Not only does it give a subtle glow under foundation but I believe it helps keep my foundation on all day.

Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Foundation-4- Good value, perfect color match for me, goes on smoothly.

Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Bronzer-3-I like the color, not too brown, not too orange, just the right amount of sparkle.  I think the "staying" power could be a bit better.

Chanel Joues Powder Blush-5- Love love love...great color, stays on all day, PERFECTO

Chanel Ultrawear Lip Color-3-Should I keep this or not...that is the big question??  Great color BUT it just doesn't stay on the way I was expecting it to.  Not sure the value matches the price.
